Adjusting the seatsRear seats
The reclining angle can be adjusted and the seatback can be folded by operating the lever or switch.
Adjustment procedure
➤Second seat (8-passenger models)
- Seat position adjustment lever

➤Third seat
Pull the lever and adjust the seatback angle
∎ Sliding the second seat (power seat) from the third seat
Pull the lever on the back of the second
seat.
Second seat can be slid backward and
forward.
WARNING
- Take care when adjusting the seat position to ensure that other passengers are not injured by the moving seat.
- Do not put your hands and legs under the seat or near the moving parts to avoid injury. Fingers, hands or feet may become jammed in the seat mechanism.
- Make sure to leave enough space around the feet so they do not get stuck.
- Manual seat only: After adjusting the seat, make sure that the seat is locked in position.
- To reduce the risk of sliding under the lap belt during a collision, do not
recline the seat more than necessary.
If the seat is too reclined, the lap belt may slide past the hips and apply
restraint forces directly to the abdomen, or your neck may contact the
shoulder belt, increasing the risk of death or serious injury in the event of
an accident.
Adjustments should not be made while driving as the seat may unexpectedly move and cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle. - Be careful not to get hands or feet pinched between the rear console box and the second seat when folding down the seatback.
Before sitting in the center position of the second seats, make sure to align the fore-and-aft position between the right and left seats.
When using the ottoman (if equipped)- Do not operate the ottoman when the vehicle is moving. Failure to do so may cause death or serious injury in the event of sudden braking or a collision.
- Do not sit on the ottoman of the passenger seat. Doing so may cause seat belts to be worn improperly, which may lead to serious injury or death in the event of sudden braking or a collision.
- Do not step on the ottoman. Doing so could damage the ottoman, or could cause you to seriously injure yourself by falling over.
- Stow the ottoman when you get in or out of the vehicle or when the ottoman is not in use to avoid stumbling over it.
- Do not allow anyone to put their hands or feet under the passenger seat when stowing the ottoman.
- Be careful that your hands and legs do not get caught in moving parts or connection areas.
- Do not arrange seats while they are occupied.
Do not operate the second seat or third seat when a passenger is seated in it. In addition, do not let anyone sit down in the second seat or third seat while the seat is being operated. Failure to do so may cause serious injury.
NOTICE
- Do not place any objects in the second passenger footwell that could prevent the operation of the ottoman.
- Do not place heavy luggage on the ottoman.
- Do not place anything under the ottoman when in use. There is a possibility that something may get caught and cause damages when stowing the ottoman.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the second seat.
When entering and exiting the third seat
∎ Before getting in and out of the vehicle (8-passenger models and 7-passenger models [manual seat])
- Stow the seat belts for the second seat as follows:
- Outer seat belt.(Click Here)
- Center seat belt.(Click Here)
- Stow the armrest.(Click Here)
- Stow the retractable table. (Click Here)
∎ Getting in and out of the vehicle (8-passenger models and 7-passenger models [manual seat])
Pull the seatback angle adjustment
lever.
The seatback will fold forward and the
seat can be slide forward. Move the
seat to the front most position.
∎ Getting in and out of the vehicle (7-passenger models [power seat])
- Slide the second seats to the rear position.
- Stow the ottoman when using.(Click Here)
- Stow the retractable table to
pass through.(Click Here)
Getting in and out of the vehicle from between the left and right second seats.
∎ After passengers have got in/out of the vehicle (8-passenger models and 7-passenger models [manual seat])
Slide the seat to the desired position and return the seatback until it
locks.
The seat position will also lock.
When using the seat belt for the second
outer seat and the center seat. ((Click Here),

WARNING
Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
- Do not fold forward the seatbacks while driving.
- Stop the vehicle on level ground, set the parking brake and shift the shift lever to P.
- Be careful not to get hands or feet pinched in the seat.
NOTICE
When stowing the third seat
∎ Before stowing the third seats
- Stow the third center seat belt.(Click Here)
- Stow the third outer seat belt.(Click Here)
- Stow the buckles.(Click Here)
∎ Stowing the third seats
- Remove and stow the head restraint of the center third seat.(Click Here)
- Lower the head restraints of third outboard seats to the lowest position. (Click Here)
- Pull the lever and fold the seatback
Slide the second seat so that it does not interfere with the third seat. (Click Here)
∎ Returning the third seat to its original position
- Lift the seatback until it locks
- Install the head restraint of the
center third seat(Click Here)
When using the seat belt for the third outer seat and the center seat.(Click Here),(Click Here)
∎ Lifting the seatback from the rear side of the vehicle
Pull the strap and lift the seatback until it locks.
WARNING
Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
- Do not stow the third seats while driving.
- Stop the vehicle on level ground, set the parking brake and shift the shift lever to P.
- Check that there is no luggage and that there are no other people around the seat before stowing operation.
- Conduct the procedure slowly and carefully.
- Do not allow children to operate the seat.
- Do not insert hands or feet into the moving parts of the seat.
- Do not allow anyone to sit on a stowed third seat or in the luggage compartment while driving.
- Do not allow children to enter the luggage compartment.
- Check if the seat belts and the buckles are caught in the seatbacks or the seat cushions. After returning the seat to its original position
- Make sure the seat is securely locked by pushing it forward and rearward on the top.
- Check that the seat belts are not twisted or caught in the seat.
